Beyond the Known - Lyrics
Pondering the time that I set aside. The weeks, days and years have long gone by.
Picturing the hoard, the netted gain. I realize, for all it’s worth, I’m alone again.
A foolish fear that one could waste tomorrow. Upending what remains of the day.
Today, no mind for the future. Travelling, no map for the journey.
My mind is free to roam. Discovering directions.
Painting frescos of the ghosts beyond the known
I played a part, doing my best, and tasks were long and hard
Work was all of life, till the end of the play
Late for the show, running in haste, why? I’d like to know
Now I’m running free; I will choose my own stage
Today, no mind for the future. Travelling, no map for the journey.
My mind is free to roam. Discovering directions.
Painting frescos of the ghosts beyond the known
Pondering the time that I set aside. The weeks, days and years have long gone by.
A foolish fear that one could waste tomorrow. Upending what remains of the day.
