Missing Person - Lyrics

I told you so, many years ago that our lives would collide once more.

I know you lied, and many times I tried to find out, to find out.

The games you played have all faded away; the axeman took his turn.

He chopped the rope that once was your hope to open, to open

The sealed doors that lead inside the place you want to hide from view.

The heavy metal case is locked and bound, lost and found, buried under you.

And when it’s dark you will stare in shock at the person you’ve become.

Buried away in a place that’s safe to keep it, to keep it

Safe from people who would change the way it must remain for now.

Gathering the dust and moss down there, who should care? It’s buried there for you.
